This course teaches healthcare professionals how to recognize and address several life-threatening emergencies. Participants will learn how to perform CPR, use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and safely relieve choking in adults and infants.
A BLS/CPR provider digital certification card (valid for two years) will be issued to each student upon the successful completion of this class.
This course provides advanced knowledge of emergency cardiovascular care to healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in cardiopulmonary emergencies and resuscitation efforts. Participants will learn the importance of team dynamics in an emergency, as well as post-cardiac arrest care and airway management.
An ACLS provider digital certification card (valid for two years) will be issued to each student upon the successful completion of this class.
This course provides advanced training to healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of respiratory and cardiovascular emergencies in children. Simulated pediatric emergencies will teach pediatric assessment, basic life support, advanced life support treatment and effective resuscitation, as well as the importance of delegating and communicating effectively.
A PALS provider digital certification card (valid for two years) will be issued to each student upon the successful completion of this class.
This course provides an increased understanding of HIV-AIDs, Hepatitis A, B and C, and Body Substance Isolation (BSI) precautions to healthcare professionals, Emergency Response Team (ERT) members, and other interested personnel who may come into contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials. (There are no hands-on skills for this course.)
A Bloodborne Pathogens digital certification card (valid for one year) will be issued to each student upon the successful completion of this class.

This course provides training and certification in basic first aid. Learn how to manage a choking, cardiac arrest or first aid emergency, and how to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones and shock.

This course provides childcare workers with training and certification in first aid, CPR and automated external defibrillator (AED) use for children and infants. Participants will learn how to respond to and manage pediatric illnesses and injuries, including the four steps of pediatric first aid: pediatric first aid, pediatric CPR and AED use, adult CPR and AED use, and asthma care training.
This course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements for child care workers in all 50 United States.
Employers are both legally required and financially incentivized to provide their employees with a safe work environment. This course provides employers and employees with an overview and understanding of workplace safety. Participants will learn about potential workplace hazards and how to avoid or eliminate them, the safe use of tools and equipment, and procedures for responding to an emergency.

This course teaches general audiences how to improve their likelihood of survival in the event of an active shooter or otherwise violent incident. This is an instructor-led course that blends online learning with in-person simulation to provide an interactive experience that replicates real-world scenarios.
The Modican Medical and Safety Team works with your staff and stakeholders to develop an Emergency Action Plan (EAP), including an emergency notification system, that is implemented through a series of training exercises.
This program is not intended to meet workplace first aid requirements. Additional training in CPR, basic first aid, and AED use is available and highly recommended.
Participants will learn how to recognize a life-threatening bleed and develop the skills to respond with confidence and urgency. This course teaches three techniques to stop the bleed: apply pressure, pack the wound, and apply a tourniquet.
